The Ice Opinion: Who Gives a Fuck? by Ice-T

I bought this book because Iím a fan of Ice-Tís music and whenever Iíve seen him being interviewed he seems erudite and a clear thinker. I agree with his views on the importance of education and Iíve seen him live as Ice-T and Body Count. This book is written how he speaks and is opinion, not fact, hence the title. You might read some analyses of society you donít agree with but if you have strong views they should be strong enough to be challenged and to still persist or they werenít worth having in the first place. I read about a country Iíve never been to and people Iíve never lived with. I often read a book and wish Iíd have read it earlier. Iíd have liked to read this while I was doing A level Sociology. Anyone studying Sociology might want to look at the views on crime in this book.
I love the useful Pimptionary in the back, itís a glossary of terms you might not be familiar with. You might think this would be a negative book and it has straight up honest discussions of poverty and violence, but it also has a solution to these ills Ė education and group action. Iíd love an update to this book, because its twenty years since it was written. Does Ice-T think anything has been achieved? I hope so.

Controversy, acidity and hatred are just some of the main ingredients in one of the heaviest and most complete albums in the career of the bloodthirsty Ice-T, Ernie C and Co. Since their inception in in Los Angeles, the band has been delivering a high quality hybrid of Groove Metal and Hip Hop, but in Bloodlust they managed to increase the heaviness of their compositions significantly, resulting in what can be considered their most metal album of all time. That only shows how passionate Ice-T and the other are about heavy music, always playing it with a lot of energy, trying to send a clear message to their fans and showing the bitter truth of the lives of the less fortunate people in the United States and all over the world. Besides, when you have guest musicians the likes of Dave Mustaine Megadeth , Randy Blythe Lamb of God and Max Cavalera Soulfly, Sepultura , you know the music will hit you in the face like an uncontrolled bulldozer. A Hip-Hop History, by Those Who Made It

Nearly 25 years ago, Ice-T the hip-hop star born Tracy Marrow and Body Count put out that deliberately over-the-top thrash-metal response to police brutality, prompting outrage from President George H. Bush and police groups everywhere. Why was it important to include a discussion and defense of Black Lives Matter on the album? Because I just felt people were really confused. Body Count has evolved from shocking to philosophical. Your perspective is different. You could shock people easy.
