Daniels story chapter 15 summary
Daniels Story by Carol Matas
Daniel barely remembers leading a normal life before the Nazis came to power in 1933. He can still picture once being happy and safe, but memories of those days are fading as he and his family face the dangers threatening Jews in Hitlers Germany in the late 1930s. No longer able to practice their religion, vote, own property, or even work, Daniels family is forced from their home in Frankfurt and sent on a long and dangerous journey, first to the Lodz ghetto in Poland, and then to Auschwitz -, the Nazi death camp. Though many around him lose hope in the face of such terror, Daniel, supported by his courageous family, struggles for survival. He finds hope, life and even love in the midst of despair.Daniels story chapter 15
Book of Daniel

When the story opens, he is 14 years old, riding on a train and looking at pictures in his photo album. Daniel uses a photograph album to spark his memory of events from when he was six years old until the day he and his family are loaded onto the train bound for the Lodz ghetto. He took pictures of people to try and earn money; he met other youth who tried to find places for people who were being transported out to hide, and they tried to survive. Disease, starvation, cold and fear are daily, even hourly, concerns for Daniel, his family and friends. He watches as families are separated, babies are killed and old people are left to freeze to death. Upon arrival at Auschwitz, Daniel and his father are separated from his mother and sister, and the horrors of the camp are described. From being shaved and disinfected to watching other prisoners being shot point blank for no reason, Daniel continues to push through with his desire to live and be reunited with Rosa.

The Book of Daniel is a 2nd-century BC biblical apocalypse combining a prophecy of history with an eschatology a portrayal of end times which is both cosmic in scope and political in its focus.

Chapter 15 Daniel's Story
Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky , the episode originally aired on April 1 , The episode begins with Captain Typho protesting against Yoda's plea to save the Jedi on Ilum , saying it will interfere with the mission they are currently on. Yoda then uses a mind trick on Typho, manipulating him to say it will be a slight detour and that it will not jeopardize the mission. Amidala then tells Yoda that she will no longer need any of her captain's further 'persuasion', and proceeds to order the Naboo Yacht to Ilum. However, C-3PO still objects, saying that since Ilum is on the other side of the system , it will not be the slight detour that Yoda claims it to be, but he has no choice.
