Going Home

I will continue to collect and read books by this author with delight. I bought this book to complete a series for my Mom for Christmas. This is her favorite author and she has read several of this authors books and has shared them with me and I have very much enjoyed the books also. The stories are well written and realistic. We have visited Amish areas and have found this author's descriptions very accurate and educational. These stories give a glimpse into the lives of the Amish and their daily lives and struggles in a very enjoyable way. Page turners for sure!

New York Times, award-winning author, Wanda E. Brunstetter is one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre. Her books are well-read and trusted by many Amish, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the people and their customs. When Wanda visits her Amish friends, she finds herself drawn to their peaceful lifestyle, sincerity, and close family ties. Wanda enjoys photography, ventriloquism, gardening, bird-watching, beachcombing, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Richard, have been blessed with two grown children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. To learn more about Wanda, visit her website at www.

Mainly, the bulk foods store hello spices! There are a few small communities in this rural area of both Amish and Mennonite. This book was set in a much larger community near Seymour which is south of Springfield. When Mom and dad rebuilt the barn, or as I call it My Inheritance, they hired Amish from this community.
