NEW Adventure Time - Fionna and Cake and Fionna - Cartoon Network
Fionna & Cake Meet Finn & Jake
Fionna and Cake are sent to an alternate universe and they happen to bump into their gender bents Finn and Jake. Quite a problem huh? Finn and Jake come back from a battle at the crystal dimension that they happen to be bragging about. Then they happen to spot two girls Fionna and Cake fighting a monster. They want to help these two but before they do they jump into action. Cake punches the monster while Fionna finished it off with a slash of her sword. Finn and Jake were very impressed to have seen two other adventurers in Ooo.
I like this series because it turns the world on it's head and give the show a whole different meaning. It doesn't help that the two genderbent counterparts barely appear on the show, but Fionna and Cake aren't very interesting in their personalities or adventures. Finn and Jake, on the other hand, have been so eye-catching that it has kept people watching the show for about a decade now. The adventures of the two original characters, themselves, are debatably diverse and constantly changing. Examples are Finn trying to get revenge on his father for all the pain he caused him, Jake dealing with his death in the near future, both of them fighting over what they should do eventually leading to them physically fighting and having to make up. Fionna and Cake just do what they are told and show no personality, not even copying the original two. They have only had two adventures, one of which has had them fight a villain.
It originally aired on Cartoon Network on September 5, The series follows the adventures of Finn voiced by Jeremy Shada , a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake voiced by John DiMaggio , a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. The concept of Fionna and Cake was based on sketches that series' character designer and storyboard revisionist Natasha Allegri made. Ward was pleased with her creations, and decided to canonize them. Originally, the episode did not feature the Ice Queen at all, and the middle part of the episode saw Fionna go on a date with Gumball to a restaurant; this subsequently changed. The episode was watched by 3. Two sequels to the episode—" Bad Little Boy " and " The Prince Who Wanted Everything "—were produced during the show's fifth and sixth season, respectively.
Fionna the gender-swapped version of Finn puts up with the sudden courtship of Prince Gumball the gender-swapped version of Princess Bubblegum while taking advice from her partner Cake the gender-swapped version of Jake in dealing with guys.
