Pride & Prejudice 1995: * Stereo Love* - Mr. Darcy writes The Letter (Colin Firth, Jennifer Ehle)

Elizabeth awoke the next morning to the same thoughts and meditations which had at length closed her eyes. She could not yet recover from the surprise of what had happened; it was impossible to think of anything else; and, totally indisposed for employment, she resolved, soon after breakfast, to indulge herself in air and exercise. She was proceeding directly to her favourite walk, when the recollection of Mr. The park paling was still the boundary on one side, and she soon passed one of the gates into the ground. After walking two or three times along that part of the lane, she was tempted, by the pleasantness of the morning, to stop at the gates and look into the park.

I think your explanation of Darcy's letter is great and detailed. I think you should had made a connection with the title of the book which I think shines through in this chapter. Elizabeth listening to Wickham and haveing prejudice against Darcy because of his "pride" is the connection with the title of the book. This analysis is well detailed and covers all the main points of this chapter. I would add that Bingley also had his doubts about Jane so Mr. Darcy isn't the only one who thought it was best for Bingley to leave Jane.
