James and the Giant Peach Summary and Analysis of Ch. 16 - 20
It is a delight to be able to write so simple a review as this one. This is a wonderful show. It patronises and panders to neither children nor grown ups. It would be wildly invidious to pick out any performers for special mention, especially with the cast of thousands that the show boasts, but Progress stalwart Kerry Murdoch turned in a fine, wise, grandfatherly Grasshopper, Ashleigh Skeats positively smouldered as the sultry Spider, Liz Carroll fulfilled all the morose expectations of the Earthworm, Joshua Sung zipped along as the perky Centipede and Anne-Marie Piazza gave us a Ladybird that seemed to be a slightly ditzy fashion-conscious Audrey Hepburn s typing-pool girl — marvellous. James Mould made a good fist of playing James, who is essentially a slightly sickly, weedy, do gooder of a boy, which could be a frightfully dull part, but which Mr. Mould gave some life to.
