REVIEW - Dawn of Wonder by Jonathan Renshaw

Best jonathan renshaw book

Dawn of Wonder by Jonathan Renshaw. Dawn of Wonder sports upwards of Amazon reviews with an average rating of 4. The first sixth of the novel gripped me. Thirma peasant Aedan of Misty Vales lives in a medieval world of war and political intrigue, including well-organized cross-border human trafficking campaigns that can target anyone, though the higher born, the better. Kudos to the author for his deft detailing of the finer points of forest tracking.

Who let this terrifying visage go to print? The chapter number is supposed to be included in there somewhere, but which part is the number? Only by peaking ahead did I learn that the stubby, dying tree? And what is the thing in the lower left? A book with a tree on it? A gravestone with a mushroom cloud on it?

The story revolves around Aedan a thirteen- year- old boy whose beautiful childhood in the Mistyvales is cut short by the dangerous Lekran slave traders. First time visiting Audible? The reason was because that sample -- the first nine chapters, if I remember right -- read like a complete story on its own. The protagonist was young, the villain was clear, the setting was detailed but tightly contained, etc. Earmarks of a short young adult novel. Admittedly, it seemed odd that something marketed as epic fantasy hadn't yet introduced a single supernatural element.

In-depth answers to the most-asked questions. A quick tour of the new facility. Upgrades to the story factory. Fresh, nicely roasted coffee check. Fresh, nicely rested brain check. Breeze and view albeit from a commandeered dining-room table check.
