Kiss Me Again (If We Kiss, #2) by Rachel VailKiss Me Again, the sequel to Rachel Vails beloved contemporary teen romance If We Kiss, follows Charlie (Charlotte) Collins as she struggles with her feelings for her longtime crush Kevin Lazarus after their parents marry and he becomes her stepbrother.
It was complicated enough when their parents were only dating and Kevin was going out with Charlies best friend, Tess. Now, living under one roof, Charlie and Kevin are crossing paths and crossing lines, sneaking around at night and then sitting down to breakfast together as a family. It feels so crazy—exciting, confusing, impossible, and romantic. It cant last, not like this, but if anybody discovers their secret, everything could explode. . . .
Praised for her wit and realism, award-winning author Rachel Vail delivers a poignant tale of first love and powerful kisses, at long last answering the question of what happens when a crush so off-limits it has to be fantasy suddenly becomes very real.

And then I can hear myself breathe, which then makes me imagine all of the respiratory diseases that could potentially be lurking within my pleural cavity. Or it could be too loud. Roommates fighting with boyfriends or watching Glee at record-breaking decibels. But the gym? The gym has the whir of treadmills and the whiz of stationary bikes, all of which are perfectly boring and ignorable noises that distract me from trying to measure my lung capacity as I pedal along. That is, until yesterday when the man at the bike next to me spent the entire 20 minutes of his workout yelling into his cell phone.
What is Easter without carrot cake? At least, those were my thoughts for this dessert. Yesterday was my son's daycare easter party. So, I thought these whoopie pies would be a fitting dessert to bring. Bunnies like carrots after all. These whoopie pies are moist, perfectly spiced and delicious.
Another treasure from the kitchen. The students and Instructor Danielle Greco, a local cake baker, rated this the best recipe they made throughout the entire course. Line two baking sheets with Silpat baking mats or parchment paper, and set aside. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine sugars and butter; beat until light and fluffy, 3 to 4 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat on medium speed until well combined. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger; stir to combine. Gradually add flour to butter mixture; mix on a low speed until just blended.

I have not been able to express my love for carrot cake enough on my blog. I love carrot cake. Some friends share this love for carrot cake and they just so happened to ask me to make whoopie pies for their wedding… And wanted one of the flavors to be carrot cake. Done and Done. You know how at weddings people politely accept the cake put in front of their face, eat half of it and then move on to the dancing or what ever is next? The attendees of the wedding were eating 2 and 3 whoopies, EACH.
