Universal Studios Hollywood Backlot Tour - Jaws / King Kong / Earthquake / Fast & Furious

Following the debut of his book on August 18, we were able to catch up with Dustin to learn more about his book and his Jaws Ride fandom. Coaster For our readers who might not know the name Dustin McNeill, tell us a little about yourself. Jaws has long been one of my all-time favorite films, which naturally made the Jaws ride one of my all-time favorite attractions. Not everyone gets the opportunity to step into the fictional world of their favorite movie or show, but I did. The Amity section and Jaws ride collectively gave me that experience, which was so incredibly fun. I enjoy the park in its current form, but remain hugely nostalgic for what many consider to be the more classic bygone attractions like Jaws, Kongfrontation, Earthquake, and so on.

We are about to enter the part of the theme park calendar when both Universal and Disney like to unveil new attractions and experiences for the busy summer crowds. However, in most cases, whenever we get something new it means we also have to say goodbye to something it replaced. Universal Studios Florida has gone through more turnover than most theme parks. Adventure and the Horror Make-Up Show remain. It may have been a bad movie, but you were in it and the experience was awesome. There are still references to Kong in Revenge of the Mummy, and Universal finally brought the great ape back into the parks with Skull Island: Reign of Kong , but man we still miss Kongfrontation. Personally, I would absolutely love to see an attraction like this that could rotate amazing directors like Quentin Taratino, Steven Speilberg, and David Fincher to show guests how they make some of their iconic film scenes and moments.

Jaws is an amusement ride attraction based on the Jaws film series and is located at Universal Studios Japan. It originally opened at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando in , and another installation later opened at Universal Studios Japan in The ride uses tour boats to take guests through a harbor of the fictional Amity Island, which begins as a leisurely tour that is abruptly interrupted by an attack of the famous great white shark. The concept is an expanded version of the Jaws miniature attraction featured in the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood in California. In , the attraction was removed from the Florida theme park to make room for the second phase of expansion for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
