For many years, different people have held the title of Savior. Each of these Saviors develops the ability to see the future and uncontrollable hand tremors. However, it is the fate of every Savior to be killed by a villain in the end. On the night that Rumplestiltskin is born, his mother Fiona is visited by the Blue Fairy and Tiger Lily , who tell her that her son is prophesied to be a Savior who will die fighting a great evil. Fiona becomes obsessed with stopping the prophecy, going as far as turning herself into a fairy , and then traveling around the realm with Tiger Lily in search of the great evil, who will bear a crescent-shaped mark. Eventually, she tries to gather ingredients for the Dark Curse , intending to cast it and send every child to another land as assurance that her son will never have to be the Savior and die fulfilling the prophecy. When Tiger Lily attempts to stop her, Fiona rips out the fairy's heart, and this act of evil causes her to become the Black Fairy, revealing she is actually the one that her son will strike down one day.

The man makes it to a building just in time, requesting the help of the Savior — Aladdin Deniz Akdeniz — who has fallen ill. In the present day, Emma Jennifer Morrison and Hook Colin O'Donoghue almost get some alone time, before a mysterious, enormous ship appears in the sky. Jekyll Hank Harris identifies it as a dirigible from the Land of Untold Stories, and Hyde declares that he has invited a friend to Storybrooke — his town. Regina Lana Parrilla and Emma try to fight Hyde Sam Witwer but quickly fail, possibly because Regina may only have half of her powers, now that she has gotten rid of the dark part of herself.
As our heroes set out to stop Mr. Hyde , who's turning Storybrooke into a haven for refugees from the Land of Untold Stories , Emma develops a mysterious side-effect, at the same time that Regina and Zelena embrace their newfound sisterhood by becoming roommates. Meanwhile, Rumple continues trying to free Belle from her sleeping curse with the help of a stranger and, in Agrabah of the past, Jafar confronts an afflicted Aladdin , unveiling a secret about "the savior" in the process. We are taken across the hills of a desert land as a man, Emir , hurriedly rides his horse in the hopes of finding refuge from whatever it is that's chasing him. A red blast of lightning is then fired at the ground, missing Emir and his horse by only a hair's breadth, and Emir looks behind himself before doing his best to gather speed, at the same time narrowly avoiding yet another blast of right lightning. His attacker then comes into view: a man on a flying carpet , surfing his way through the air in an attempt to subdue his prey. Emir's horse rides like the wind while the assailant on his tail rides the wind in a more literal fashion, firing yet another jet of red magic his way from the eyes of his serpent staff.
