Coach Cal and Lonnie's team participates in the city-wide tournament of champions. With all the hard work and belief in their talents, they succeed in winning a series of games in the preliminary rounds and make it to the finals. Confronted by the challenge of either fulfilling his ultimate dream of winning the tournament or falling to the pressure of the gambling lords to lose the game to the opposing team, he stands his ground and does the right thing. Lonnie rises to the occasion by displaying the best moves the sports has ever seen. His action-packed performance eventually wins his team the championship. Sadly, he and his teammates paid a very expensive price. Their victory costs coach Cal his life.
